About the prize

Celebrating impactful, reliable scientific software from the NOBUGS community​.

In memory of Bill Pulford: NOBUGS founder and scientific software pioneer at ISIS, ESRF, and Diamond Light Source.

Projects that win the prize have the the following characteristics:

• Significant impact on the NOBUGS community
• A strong record of reliability / very few bugs
• An accessible source-code repository

Nominations

To nominate a software package or project, the NOBUGS International Organizing Committee evaluates a project from the community based on a proposal that includes:

• A description of the software and its impact on the NOBUGS community.
• An explanation of its reliability and low number of bugs.
• A link to its source-code repository.

The NOBUGS IOC selects from submissions and announces the winners during the conference.
